Our Monthly meeting today is at Leyland Golf Club, Wigan Rd, Leyland PR25 5UD. Our talk today is "Banister Hall Nurseries" by Dave Newsham. l.45 for 2 pm start. £5.50 including refreshments.
Friday 5th
The Book Club discusses "The Monogram Murders" by Sophie HANNAH. Meet at Joy Byrom's home at 2 pm.
Saturday 6th
Join us for Astley Theatre in the Park: Last Night of the Proms. It takes place in the WalledGarden with Outreach Opera and the Bolton Hoover Band.6 pm to 8.30 pm. Doors open 5pm. Bring a picknic and blanket or camping chair. Tickets £21.60 bought in advance online. Sign up asap if you would like us to get your ticket.
Tuesday 9th
Join Daphne for a pub quiz at St Gerard's Parocial Centre, rownedge Rd, Lostock Hall, PR5 5AA. Meet at 7 pm for 7.30 pm. £1.
Wednesday 10th
The Wednesday Lunch Club visits The Twelve Tellers, Church St, Preston. PR1 3BQ. Join Michael for 1 pm. Booking essential.
Sunday 14th
Join Joy for a heritage day visit to Hesketh Park, Southport where we can visit Hesketh Park Conservatory followed by a visit to the park Observatory. Take the X2 bus from Preston Bus Station at 10.10 or Penwortham Library at 10.21, getting off at the Allerton Rd stop close to the park.

Our coffee morning today is at Booth's Cafe, Cherestanc Square, Park Hill Rd, Garstang, PR3 1EF. Meet Celia at 10.30 am
Sunday 21st
Join Alan Cross for a 3 mile walk along the river starting at the docks. Meet at Beach Cafe, Riversway at 11 am. Join us in the cafe at the end.

where we have permission to park free of charge. After a Fish & Chips meal, we will walk along the promenade through the lights
- we can be flexible, walk as much or as little as you want! If you don't want to walk, join us for Fish & Chips and take the tram.
Monday 8th December
Forthcoming event - Join us for a Christmas afternoon of festive fun. We will enjoy a 2-course lunch followed by tea-coffee and mince pies
There will be a free ticket to the Christmas raffle for everyone, and prizes for the quizzes. Friends Welcome. Please complete a
menu sheet with your food choices. Cost £30 -TBC. Menu sheet and payments are required by the AGM on 3rd November
